It’s crazy to think on 22nd May something so barbaric happened at what should have been a fun evening for many families and kids seeing Ariana Grande in concert. Shows & concerts are a safe haven for people to come together & celebrate music, forgetting about all your troubles & cares, but this night for many was completely catastrophic. Reading the news reports from what had happened the next day was shocking, it was hard to believe that someone could be this evil and hurt innocent people.
Ariana has however, been so brave & her support for the victims & everyone affected by the attack, is beautiful to see. Many artists would probably kindly donate money, but to put together & organise a concert within a week, with other artists getting involved to raise money, proved just how kind hearted she is & how much this meant to her to help everyone in a way that would show the world that love does conquer evil.
The One Love Manchester concert was absolutely brilliant. Every part of the show really proved that we are a nation that will always be unified no matter what happens & will never let a small minority of evil people try to over power us with hate. I don’t think there was a single dry eye watching from start to finish during the show & as Pharrell Williams said “I don’t smell, hear or feel any fear – all I feel is love & positivity”.
I have always been a big fan of Ariana, but she really has shown that she isn’t just an incredible voice, but an incredible human being, with a big heart & beautiful soul. Every performer put their hearts into the concert & the victims of the attacks were in the forefront of everyone’s thoughts, which I’m sure gave a lot of strength to those families & people affected.
The whole nation was watching on Sunday 4th June & for the first time it really felt like the whole nation was united with one thing in mind…real compassionate love for one another. So thank you Ariana & her team, you’ve given and sent so many of us strength & kindness that will be remembered forever.
ONE LOVE ♡
